2 million bucks right now, or $4,000 every week for the rest of your life?

2 mil now, or 4K a week until you die

Hell
4k easily, you can live pretty good off 1k a week now. nice place, decent car so 4k a week would be lovely.

think of it like this.

a single man

1500 nice 1 bedroom rental in a good. area, 600 a month for a decent 3 series bimmer. stack 1 g a month to save.

honestly that's pretty good right there and you'll be dating pretty easily.

4k would be bananas

my bad. if 25 years of life is guaranteed then i believe the 4000 looks better. formulas might be off but......

(((1+.05/52)^1300-1)/(.05/52))*4000
= 10.3 million

2,000,000*(1.05)^25
= 6.7 million

it all depends on the yearly return you can earn. If the annual return is above 12.5%...the $2 million up front becomes a better option.

They are called Freeports I couldn't find the tv show clip but I think this one in Geneva is the same one. The other video talks about a Freeport in Luxembourg.

I probably would buy a painting. 2 years later that shyt worth 4 million. Few years later that shyt worth 8 million. Couldn't wait to give that shyt to my children. :wow:

I saw on CNBC a warehouse overseas that rich people from America store their paintings and never pay taxes.:ohlawd: You leave it there for years until its worth more and then sell it for all profit.:banderas: No taxes of any kind unless you are dumb enough to try and bring it into America.:hubie:

Crazy shyt. Probably in the Cayman islands

I am on demand right now looking for the episode but I think it was Switzerland. Rich people hop on a flight and visit their money in the Swiss banks and then see their paintings in the warehouse.:ahh:

Where are you finding 8% interest rates..... pls tell me :wow:

8% interest rate is the rate you used to discount future cash flows to present value. Also called discount rate. It could be your WACC , which is a mixture of different debt and/or equity instruments.

Instead of being a smart dumb negro ,why don't you read a finance book?

I make about 3k a week now, yes you do live comfortable but your still far from rich.

Just give me that 2 mill. I'll invest some of that money in multiple town houses and condos. Then lease them all out to different families at a fixed monthly income. Then continue to earn my own income through work or start up a small business.

I can't sit in my house all day and chill like a bum. I'll go nuts.

I'd literally do the same thing with both scenarios and it would be based on how I budget myself and my income in general. I literally wouldn't change a thing from how I live right now. I'd just apply my budgeting percentages to whichever amount I chose.

40% ---would go to living expenses/necessities
30% ---in the Light Longterm savings account for future big fun expenses and/or emergency
10% ---in my investment portfolio to never be touched:
Biotech ETF's
Vanguard long term ETF (Gold)
Wisdom Tree
15%---for play money(guilt free bullshyt spending)
5%---for Education and self improvement
