an altape is specifically defined as an album that starts to flop but is quickly spun as a mixtape to lower expectations and protect stan tears

so explain to me how these mixtapes sites get the tape early and have countdowns and shyt to them... if it's only decided AFTER it flops to put it out there for free



mixtapes went from paid tapes in the 90s and 00s... to free online during the 2010s... to nikkas smartening up and saying, why not do both
