It's crazy how so many people are overblowing the political/social commentary on the album. It's not a political or social album. It's the typical jay z album where he drops some jewels but ultimately just raps about himself and his life.

We give people whose opinions should mean the same as any other random ass person's opinions way too much attention and consideration because they're famous or popular. Why do we care how he feels about the album? :russ: . His opinion, just like Akademiks and Charlamagne and whoever else's opinion, should be of zero importance to us, totally weightless

I feel you.

I just think guys in the 20's early 30s make their best albums compared to their latter years (mid-30s on up) for the most part. They lose their touch and ear for what works on albums.
I Disagree.. They're at a different stage in their life, and fans want their favorite emcees to stay the same forever. Fans don't want to allow artists to grow or experiment..

exactly...

the reason Dipset failed is because they still want to rap as if they are still in their mid twenties .....

Nah, its not that at all. Experimentation is one thing. Staleness and degrade in quality is another. It happens to the best artists. Life happens when you get older. Responsibilities, money, less risk-taking, being out of touch, etc. When you are young, broke, and starving, looking to get put on, nothing to lose, it tends to bring out the best in you.

That is what makes Jay's 4:44 album so impressive. He sounds as good as ever.

Overrated. Typical Jay-Z "I'm better than u because...." Rap

Chronixx dropped chronology the same day. I still listen to it.

Lupe drogas wave and tetsuo both better "conscious" albums

That happens to some new nikkas these days on their second album.. :mjlol: Complacency isn't exclusive to the mid-30 & over club. I just gave you about 5 cats wit heat! On top of them, Nas, the whole Griselda camp, Phonte, Cole, Ross, Meek..

This dude is a idiot, 4:44 just too grown for people. Just cause it isn’t his cup of tea don’t mean it’s wack.
THIS is what a lot of these younger cats don't get. Garbage to you is so far from being garbage overall. Just say 4:44 was too mature for you & move along..
