I don't mean to barge in yall 1on1 or speak for Matt but what he said sounds like a concept from Neely Fuller Jr which basically is a deterrent to conflicts arising from minor issues none of which attributed to anything constructive. As far as it pertains to outsiders, that's inconsequential because the only true concern should be of our groups' issues internally. We already know how outsiders get down by this point, its like playing with a snake don't cry if you get bitten.

There is no poverty worse than rural, Black poverty in the US.
At least with urban poverty there are resources and the like,
In some of those places down South, there is almost nothing. Its bad for Whites, and its far worse for Blacks.

Not in discussion with White people.
This is a community issue that needs to be addressed.
The problem is, the people who work toward stopping the violence and generally get informed, aren't the ones causing the issue.
My dad is from Chocktaw County in Alabama, and down there almost the entire city will be poor, high school dropouts.
Its like that in a lot of outside places in Mississippi and Georgia too.
Its hard to reach these people and to bring any real change to the violence. It almost becomes ingrained.

Of course it's not just in the south.
But the south is by far the poorest region and it's by far the blackest region. Struggling in the hood in the Bay is making about 3 times a year what nikkas in some of these rural areas in the south make

You grow up in complete poverty in LA or NYC you have safety-nets, school programs, community programs, school to college pipelines, etc.
In Franklin County, Mississippi you're shyt out of luck and probably 3 generations deep into poverty.

Personally, I wonder why you're concern with other groups in that way. I suppose I'm more attuned to that saying "if you want to master your enemy then master yourself" - apply that to us as a group with proper leadership and organization. You however can do whatever you want, if that's what you feel is constructive and viable to solving whatever issue that is your tackling.
