Plenty of people on here clown on Hill and were so happy when Rose talked shyt on him and Duke. I get it some of its in fun and jokes. From my observations(not a very big sample size but still) white people hold high regards of players from educated, affluent, good families, they are looked down upon in the black community.

Kobe in regards to the trayvon/zimmerman ordeal, its not as attn grabbing as heat players in hoodies but has a much deeper meaning and awareness to the whole situation

grant hill was never looked down upon. I can see where jalen rose - as a peer, was coming from when he talked about how he felt back in the day. but other than stuff like that, there was no real contempt for grant hill, especially once he graduated from duke.
