Nah breh, just reading the post which they explained that their Engineer messed up a line of code. We call that a RGE, resume generating event

Nothing is as bad as storage though...you get one storage mistake and that is it

In 2014 i was a part of a DR exercise where the storage teams screwed up the retention policies and were not able to recover financial data...and remember this was just an EXERCISE...

Manager, lead storage guy, and lead backup guy were fired ON THE SPOT IN FRONT OF THE CUSTOMER...

Each had been working at the company at least 8 years...

I also seen a storage engineer quit on the spot where he was supposed to implement a storage solution and couldn't because he tested it the wrong way...dude hit the walked out and never came back...
