Well the wife character is actually more devious and flawed than the husband. She's cheated more, is largely responsible for the husband running a criminal enterprise(dude wanted to go legit and she fought him at every step), and is the one mainly responsible for the daughter being killed due to being a shyt mom. Plus, the show Power is written by a black woman.
