shows not bad, characters are interesting. i will say the fact nola never seems to learn from her mistakes is the problem i see with a lot of black women. very self unaware. so maybe instead of this show being a lesson, i just take it for what it is. but then u have the part where 3 dudes come to dinner and eat together and are cool with the naked painting. :hhh: unlike insecure its unrealistic. at least with insecure the main character does something and learns from the consequence and is better for it. in this show,no matter what she does, she doesnt learn shyt.

real nikkas would have ate up the food, flipped her, dipped out and deleted her number :mjlol:

Thats because hoes only change they dont learn or grow

bytches only know how to change their hair and clothes or furniture

But their mind peaks at age 16

Watched it b/c it was a blk show. Liked the characters. Don't have weird unhealthy hang ups about female sexuality like some dudes here so it wasn't offensive to me. Sometimes you do feel different connections with different men. That makes men feel uncomfortable b/c they lie to themselves that women aren't like them even tho women are humans too. I dunno why some dudes do this.

Yes, sometimes you feel different stuff with different people. We are all trying to find the person who has the most qualities we desire. Somehow as human beings, men desire multiple women for the same reasons. They like one girl for one thing and another chick brings a different energy.

But beyond themselves are ya'll really so mentally selfish or stunted that u can't imagine it's the same shyt with us? There is the guy that makes u laugh, the guy u have a serious connection with, the guy who excites u. And sometimes ur ego don't wanna hear this but it doesn't all come in one package. That's real talk. People REALLY need to get over their hang ups about sex. Also liked that it didn't paint the female lead as a perfect Mary Sue character or as a victim. She was very flawed and irritating in some instances.

Didn't like the agenda tho. Feels like homosexuality is being layered over blk femininity...which is irritating b/c blk femininity has never been successfully represented. The fact that blk women have always been typecast as masculine and now a sexual black female winds up with another woman is an extension of that stereotype. The perfectly balanced partner archetype could have easily been casted as a well adjusted male that wanted her to grow up, instead of pushing a lesbian fix to her hypersexual needs. (My eyes rolled so hard and I cringe at some idiotic impressionable shea butter chick YAAAASSSSSSING at this on a pathetic bandwagon).

Really not a fan of homosexual representations hijacking blk representation when our own image isn't stable.

Otherwise, I liked it and it made me mad that Spike Lee gets NO love or recognition for writing Sex and the City b4 it was a boring show about white bytches doing what they've been doing since the beginning of time. Will be equally irritated at ignorant whites who will see this on Netflix and think "oh that's just a blk version of Sex in the City" even tho Spike Lee came first.
Sometimes I hate this country.

You're right. But there are reprercussions for a women constantly going from guy to guy. One of those being the fact that men tend to look at you sideways when you do go from guy to guy all because you are trying to "taste the different flavors". Reminds me of the women that divorce their husbands because "things got boring" or "he couldn't keep the marriage spicy" :mjlol:. If more women adopt your line of thinking except the marriage/procreation rate to reach Japan's level or worse. Marriage itself is already on the decline with the millennial generation :lawd:. Eventually all you will have are men who wanna fuk but then ghost on you and never call back :pachaha:. I really don't think women realize where they are taking gender relatoons with all the changes they are making tbh. Not my problem though :hubie:.

Let's stop pretending like this is a huge issue. Half the time chicks hide just as much shyt as men hide about their pasts.

Secondly people being sexual beings is a reality. And if every dude was only marrying virgins or chicks with low body counts...let's just say that shyt isn't happening.

So we really need to skip the woe unto tales and be honest. Most people will or have had more than one sexual partner by the time they settle down.
Gotta get over it. In fact most married chicks I know are the wild ass ones lol.

I'm not going to deny any of this nor did I assume that men want virgins. All I'm saying is that women wanting all out sexual liberation has it's consequences. Not really sure what generation (millennial) you are from but I'm noticing less men from my age group trying to get in committed relationships with women :lawd:. Why get date a woman for a long time or marry her if you can just sell dreams and easily smut her out because she's "sexually liberated" .Our generation has less suckers :myman:. Call it the age of pump and dumping :ohlawd:.

Very thoughtful appraisal. Regarding the lesbianism, it’s not that deep, spike fetishizes over lesbianism like Tarantino does toes. He’s a shallow freak.

LMAO! I don't doubt it. But i just get sick of this and I've seen this happening in a couple of different shows.
Black mirror on netflix has this blk chick riding off into the sunset with...another chick.

She's gotta have it... I mean countless other shows too.

Not really a fan.

Dudes claim it's because of sluttiness but I've had other men break this down for me. One dude told me that has nothing to do with it. Really it's more about a lack of financial resources and ability to interact with chicks. He was like our generation stays home longer, has less skills, less income and aren't prepped for marriage.

It's the age of too broke to establish strong families. People just playing it off and using sluttiness as an excuse. Lmao!

It's like broke people worrying about losing shyt in divorce laws lol.
Hate to humble people but this ole "men and women were in the golden ages in the past" nonsense is silly. It's not that people were less promiscuous in the old days. Lmao! And promiscuity didn't stop marriages back then.

It's that we have less resources by design today, and higher expectations, and more fewer means to fulfil them. We want the women to be prettier, the men to be richer, but we don't go out as much, have fewer jobs and more debt. Which spells more isolation, more depression.

Really it's quite obvious what's going on but I guess it just depends on perspective.

Yeah it was a lil over the top. The dancing scene at the end with all three men was cringe worthy.
the whole concept of inviting three men you're concurrently fukking to sit down together and dine with you was :wtf: i don't know any three men who would one, have all stayed - someone would be walking out that door, and two, continued to deal with her/still been fighting over her at dinner. just thinking about that shyt got me heated

I checked out one episode to see what the hoes was talking about these days. bytch goes on and on about how she’s proud of her sexuality, then call her a freak and she flips :dead:

Pretty much the hoe movement of today. Go to a slut walk and call any one of them “proud sluts” a hoe and watch how mad they get :heh:

The system doesn’t give a damn about black people. So even if i am getting one up on it, you mad about it?:usure: How am I living off a simp in my own house? All my shyt was paid for BEFORE he came around. I’ve been living on my own since I was 17 boo:mjlol:
Don’t you also walk around with ya titties out in front of ya kids? :Damnasty:
