people say steph curry changed the game with his shooting, but it was really Lebron with his "choose your own adventure" mindset
Before Lebron, even players like Jordan, Kobe and Shaq were beholden to general managers and coaches
Bron took all the power away from them and turned them into NPCs
Celtics big 3 in 2007 started the super team/choose your own path era

same Bron stans who :salute: this cry when people mention Steph rings without have to team hop

Just enjoy the games & amazing talent
He was never put into a position to have to change teams. Chef was drafted into a better situation across the board. :manny:. Cleveland was NBA purgatory.

These fukkboys talk about player empowerment, taking control away from the owners and taking your career in your own hands only to disrespect KD everyday :mjlol:

This is a disingenuous thread and argument and dudes on here know it. Yes, Bron has always fulfilled his contract and left to those teams via FA, but you're overlooking the most important aspect that there was obviously some under the table collusion going on for those teams to even clear out and have the necessary cap space for Bron to go there. It'd be naive to sit there and insist otherwise.

Bron is out here doing the same shyt that other players are doing. He just plans his exit out years in advance and with his next team being able to prepare for it.

Pretty much. LeBron shifted the power balance in the league. Michael Jordan was essentially forced to retire the second time because he tried to big boy the Bulls and Reinsdorf hit him with the :yeshrug: when Mike said he wasn’t gonna play if they didn’t keep Phil. Those days are over now thanks to King.
****FACTS****
Not enough people know about this or want to even acknowledge it. For the record MJ 1 LBJ 2, but if we choose to never forget Bron not able to get by lil JJ Barea then dont forget MJ couldn't get my chubby Reinsdorf.

And while he'll play out his contract, he will also will have Klutch athletes forced their way out to join him. :lolbron:

Or getting them to leave money on the table to make up on the backend. If Bron wasn't controlling the narrative out here, then he'd be having to get traded to his next destination just like everyone else in the league whose new teams don't have advanced of their arrival to help clear up cap space.

To me that's been the most astonishing thing. How much did AD leave on the table?

About $20-$30 million as he turned down the supermax the Pelicans were offering when he got traded to the Lakers. If you look at all the money flowing around the league and what Klutch clients are accepting, you can’t tell me that they arent making players promises to pay back what they gave up with the next deal.

Even a team like Milwaukee just did it with Portis after him taking below market offers for about two years.

nope, the shameless cowardly team hopping is the thing I respect the least about his career …people act like his first stint with the Cavs was some kinda torturous basketball version of the passion of Christ or something :mjlol:…which ok, they built some contenders there that ultimately just didn’t get it done in the playoffs with some high profile chokejobs sprinkled in there…but fukk it, let’s just chalk it up as he was put into an impossible position where he had 0 opportunity to win and had no choice but to go form an allstar team in Miami…i could almost buy that narrative if everything after that wasn’t shrewd calculated team resource vampire running from the grind ring chasing ..structuring his contracts so it’s easier to dip outta town ain’t exactly some act of valor IMO

With all that said, it worked out for him, which is more than I can say for some players that have followed his lead…KD in particular has pretty much allowed hypocrisy from fans and the media to significantly alter his legacy for the worst…he’s a man without a country in a basketball sense…it makes me appreciate guys like Giannis more…makes this warrior championship feel more special
Disgusting
