Just had our second child and filed taxes. I’m the only one working right now, I brought home $78k pre tax, paid $8k in fed withholdings, we are getting just shy of $13k back
I took a second wfh job and if I finish the year with both I’ll finish at $134ish pre tax, my bracket doesn’t change because we are married, we get to keep all of the upcoming stimulus money, qualify for the $6k they are about to hand us for child credits ($700 monthly) and I withhold at the higher single payer rate. All that said we should see over $20k in a return next season
