OP... Even before rap many of our music had violence and a lot of vice. That's just one of the features of music, expressing things whether negative or positive. You think Chief Keef and Bobby Shmurda were the first to sing about violent things????? Blues singer song about many "poisonous" things like shooting someone or killing their woman, drinking, partying, etc,etc.

So why should Chief Keef and Bobby Shmurda get singled out???? Why should rap get singled out???

When the likes of KRS, ATCQ, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, etc.,were making their classic albums, they weren't thinking about p*ssy. They were thinking about making history. Even Uncle Luke went against the grain and got hoes on what music he liked to do.
