That Nikka is a bumJoyner in 2nd, Niklas in the 3rd (that would probably take a trade)
think Joyner can defend the slot and play a little FS in the league, Jean-Baptiste would be interesting hes the Sherman-type guy of the corners. id expect secondary to be the direction @ 50. between Nix/Hageman/Tuitt and Jernigan theres a shytload of DT's that could be there tho. not really a need right at the moment but it would be tempting
Dion Bailey is the only S left that really interests me, Buchannon and Ward went higher than i thought so he may be gone by 81. may even be gone by 50
Y'all wanted an OT though
Its not the fact that they chose him, he's actually the best RT in the draft, its the fact that they could have traded down, picked up another pick, and still got him.![]()
. Naturally I called his bluff and told him I wanted to see who Miami drafted before I waste any more money on that putrid franchise. So, I check my email this morning and surprise surprise, there is the email from this chump at Dolphin Stadium asking me if I would like to renew my seats now
, he is spouting all these Dolphins talking points about shoring up the o line and building from the foundation blah blah blah. Not surprised by this pick, it is the typical Dolphins safe pick. Instead of picking up the best player on the board they go for a RT that they could have traded down to get.
What's funny is, I didn't renew my seats by the renewal deadline and the sales person at dolphin stadium called me and told me that I needed to renew that day or they would be sold due to increased demand for those seats. He even went as far as saying there was a waiting list. Naturally I called his bluff and told him I wanted to see who Miami drafted before I waste any more money on that putrid franchise. Did I miss something here??
Did we draft an impact player at a position of need or did we reach for a player like we always do?
we cursed!
The general consensus is they over reached for him because he was a need. He'll be a solid player but not blow the doors off type.
We drafted a need and that's great. I don't mind if it's label a 'reach' Let's get good players and build a good core. Fins rarely drafted any players that panned out. If he can be serviceable and give produce, it's a great pick.
I feel you but again, the general consensus is that we coulda traded down and this cat would've still been on the board so that's why cats feel its a reach. Yea it's a need but a need that we still coulda had while stockpiling more picks or picking the BPA...........hindsight being 20/20 and all. I don't really have a problem with the pick but alot of folks seem to be luke warm on it.
