You stepped in here ready to debate now you on some , I wanna get to know you shyt. Puzzy
Are you from the Caribbean? Are your parents from the Caribbean? Do you live in the United States? I'll address your response when you answer these questions. If you don't want to debate continue deflecting. This isn't a hard question btw

none of that has anything to do with the points i made. YOu're creating strawmans so that you can do ad-hominem attacks. you've been evading my points for a full page - I'm done. Everyone see what you're doing, you're an embarassment.

You are neither Caribbean nor American and have no credentials to speak on Afro-Caribbean culture
no they haven't you fukkin idiot. It's like me saying Pentacostal is holding on to AFrican culture, because there are still pieces of AFrican rituals in it. What about voodoo in Louisiana - i guess that has nothing to do with African origins. Ever heard of Hoodoo? all the additional AFrican based Neo Paganism that erupted in the USA in the past 40 years. Ever heard about the Moorish Scientists You don't know shyt and she doesnn't either...

and since you so stupidly agreed with her, waht about the non-spanish caribbean? ever heard of Jamaican Obeah? Kumina? Orisha? feel stupid yet? go look em up.

black americans are more aware and atuned as whole to AFrican culture then any of those spanish caribbean cultures (not including Brazil, which is portugese).

lastly this not some direct strong link, people hold on to religion when they have nothing else - it's a sign of oppressed people who have nothing to hope for and put everything they had in maintaining their faith. It's one piece of a life , one piece of a culture - it's a link but the source is in Africa. Why isn't she talking about the African culture and not this pseudo mix religions. The real african religions are still be practiced in Africa. Everything she said and you said/agree with is ignorant, stupid, and pointless. So you go look up all the American (African) religions that are LINKS stupid mofo.

Religion is a huge link to Africa. You wouldn't understand since you are not a black American/Caribbean but most black churches/nations
s form of worship is heavily influenced by Africa. So yes, things like Hoodoo, Vodun, Santeria, Palo ARE holding on to African culture but you wouldn't know that since you're not an Afro-descendant

shyt bird,

Christianity is practiced all around the world, does that mean every culture that practices it has a link to one another. Does it mean an American can go to egypt and feel at home culturally?

AT least think through the shyt you post , I'm calling you names because you just co-singed a ding bat and didn't even try to think through what she said. And I know you didn't read a damn word of what I already posted explaining this.

Christianity isn't the same all around the world. Next.
of course I'm upset, you don't know what you're talking about and agreeing with another idiot and then trying to call me out about it. You followed mindless drivel shytting on Black Americans yet praising spanish carribbeans (presumably black ones) that are 40 years behind in cultural awaress and awarenewss in self in general. YOu're a piece of shyt and I know you never stepped for in Spanish-Anyhoodintheworld or AFrica.

You don't understand what the tweet was saying - the bytch was sititng there talking about Domincans and how great they were , I didn't post all the tweets moron. You have no idea what she's saying and you're going to backtrack because I made you look STUPID. like I said you have no idea what you're talking about.

She is saying Spanish Caribbean held on to Culture and Religion - none of this is true (100%). And even if i twere several english speaking caribbean countries have too. Not to mention fukking Africa it's self. Not to mention all the NEO pro-black movements and pockets of african diaspora that have kept practicing this in AMERICA.
you admitting you caught feels :umad:. Cuba/PR/DR have huge AFrican influences (just like all of the Caribbean and yes even the United States). firstly, the music, dance and religion is very much African influenced. Many people from the Spanish Caribbean pride themselves as being the product of Natives, Spanish, AND African. to insinuate that Cuba/PR/DR haven't held on to African culture is insulting. in the US, Afro-descendants as a whole have not held on many African traditions (due to the size of non African population here).
you lost

if we were at the podium debating this , would you stop the debate and tell the moderator you're done because of your opponents race?

you're a bytch - like i said, you have to back track because you know you're wrong. You never stepped foot in a Spanish-Caribbean hood nor Africa, like I said - prove me wrong by saying something intelligent about anything.

i've been to Hispaniola and Puerto Rico

LOL you've been to Haiti and Puerto Rico, this muthafukka tried to say Hispaniola LMFAO

3rd paragraph you said INFLUENCED that's different than a link to AFrica. You put spanish caribbeans into Nigeria and they wouldn't know what the fukk is going on. The culture IS VASTLY DIFFERENT, ESPECIALLY IN SPANISH CARIBBEANS islands.

Lastly, Christianity is different throughout the world but you won't admit that the Religions in the islands are different too? Either it's a link or it's not a link, you can't have it both ways. None of the popular religions in the islands are directly the same as what they practice in Africa, just like American Christianity is the wholly the same as Egyptian Christianity (although there aren't that much different if you look at Orthodox Christianity).

No one would agree with you on this board that fukkin DR has more ties to AFrica than fukkin Black Americans - you sound stupid and silly. YOu can't even measure that, but anyone whose lived in any spanish islands and has visited Nigeria or Ghana knows what I'm saying. The link is weaker in more ways than with Black Americans. Black Americans at least are aware of this and try to reconnect, the Spanish Blacks in the islands prefer to continue to eat out the lap of white hispanics.

Do you know who Marcus Garvey is? Do you know the movements that happened in America to rekindle black americans with their AFrican heritage...did that happen in DR? Oh they practice some forms of voodoo and they used drums and african rhythms in their music - who doesn't!!! Ask them who Shaka Zulu is, Ask them who Osiris is, Ask them where Nubia is...

i've been all around the world - i speak from education and from experience. You can't say there's a remanant of religion living in spanish caribbean and call that a direct a link to AFrican culture - you go to AFrika on that DR shyt and they'd be looking at you like WTF.

even if i never stepped foot in africa, it's a stupid question and i'm insulted i even had answer this. I never been to NEw Zealand but I know Kiwi's are different culturally from Americans, despite there similiar origins. People don't use their brains anymore, asking stupid questions and make nonesensical assertations based on nothing. Then want you to validate it by answering questions regarding personal shyt instead of facts and common sense.

Maybe I am :flabbynsick: and out of the loop with this but what has Azaleia Banks ever done that would warrant us to look at what she is doing as anything but a publicity stunt to get shine? She is obviously benefiting from this because she has people who probably had no idea who she was now do.

As far as her coming at Iggy I understand it if she's using a fake accent and is basically a culture vulture but why come at Action Bronson? He seems like someone who grew up on the culture and respects it. I think Kool G Rap is his favorite rapper, Iggy probably has no idea who G Rap is- that's the difference.

Azaleia Banks is black, therefore anything she says is the absolute truth.

But nah, she's just salty that there are other people who are more successful than her :yeshrug:
