We have a a lot mental health issues in the black community that goes untreated. The kid may have PTSD or he may have blacked out and spazzed because the stress of his life. I'm not defending what he did but let's not throw away a black life so easy
We should have more compassion for our own because jah knows we don't get it from anybody else.

Dude was pretty much out from the initial blow.
Concussions = permanent brain damage.
As dude mentioned earlier, they're accumulative. The damage adds up so from here on, it will only get worse for him as he gets struck in the head. He was on the ground having a seizure. That's a tell tale sign of brain damage.
He may have issues but he needs treatment not prison.

Look, the actions you take have consequences no matter what age you are. I have seen young people fight over less than this (looking at someone the wrong way) but even than most people have a natural instinct in their head when to stop. This probably isn't a one off incident/twist of fate even, imo. This kid needs help but he probably needs to be kept out of the general population for a while too.
