Behind B.I.G. and Mase, French Montana is Diddy's most successful rap artist.

Ya'll still not getting it, huh? :sas2:

LOL I don't think YOU get it.

French is supposed to be bigger than the rest of these other artists because he's the only one still active on the label.

But "Let's Get It", "Whoa", "Special Delivery", "You Don't Know Me", "Bad Boyz",
"Flava In Ya Ear" or any of Puffy's own singles are bigger than any song French has put out.

I'm talking about 2 and 3-hit wonders which is more than French has, and plaques which French also doesn't have.
Those are facts.

You are letting being in the moment blind you.

Don't bring numbers up to me, clown.

This is 2014, not the age before MP3s were even a serious form of media consumption.

I will bring up numbers to you, Dicc Taster, because that's a way to measure how successful one is in these mediums.

I don't think y'all understand what Napoleon is saying it's that or y'all underrating French's run. French's album sold 100K to date, but to make sales comparison is ridiculous, look at the guys who were going Platinum and Gold back then sales are obviously down dramatically comparing 2014 to any year in the late 90s and early 00's where rap sales were at their peak. So what y'all saying is Black Rob comes out today instead of back then with Whoa he goes Plat, in the era where Kanye West didn't go Plat? Y'all think French wouldn't get a plaque in that era? :laff:

Pop That is a bigger hit than Whoa, it's on the level of Flava In Ya Ear. This is fact, it's certified Platinum by the RIAA and charted higher in any chart you look at. French has other hits too, Shot Caller peaked in the top 25 on the Rap Chart, so did Freaks and Ain't Worried About Nothing matter of fact both those songs charted within the top 100 of the Billboard while Black Rob only has one top 100 hit which is Whoa.

Y'all not even factoring in mixtapes, French has over a dozen mixtapes. Mac & Cheese 3 was downloaded over a million times on DatPiff alone and was actually a pretty damn good tape. Y'all forgetting French is running Coke Boyz too.

French been featured on many other anthems and remixes.

This nikka French crossed over, he's doing DJ Khaled anthems with some of the biggest names in hip hop, he's doing songs with Jennifer Lopez and Daddy Yankee, he's doing songs with Miley Cyrus. He actually has longevity look at how fast some of the guys y'all mentioning became :flabbynsick:.

If we're talking strictly rap acts, French definitely has a case.

You also left out him fukking a Kardashian.

Thankfully you see what I'm talking about here.

These dudes are talking about numbers and not the music and cultural presence itself. You ain't gotta like it, but to act like Diddy ain't out here acknowledging that French is keeping him hot is asinine. He sees it, why can't you all?

Dudes are blinded with this nostalgia of things just being so different.

I guarantee you that more people listen to French than listened to G Dep or Black Rob AT THEIR HEIGHT.

Its not.

Culturally, French is way bigger than all these dudes you're trying to brag about.

I'm not "bragging about" any of those dudes.

"Culturally" French is just another rapper we know of for his Puffy affiliation.
That's his mark on the world.

I know 2 of his songs.

And you had the nerve to cite him "fukking a Kardashian" as proof. lol
Sit down.

What did G dep do?

cant find the number, it wasnt much for its era. the thread is phrased wrong, French is doing it pretty big right now i dont think anyone would deny hes the most visable act in NY

is he a bigger star in his era than Rob and Dep? sure, he knows how to network and keeps himself in the loop. Rob was a reclusive weirdo who wouldnt do press

but Excuse My French cant be seen as a win for Bad Boy. FM is winning on the whole but his album didnt
