David Blake aka DJ Quik did a good job in mixing/mastering all eyez on me, In my opinion, Quik is probably one of the best in the craft of mixing/mastering.

agreed.

I think Dr. Dre is excellent at it too tbh. Whether he actually does it or has his 'team' doing it, Dre albums are mixed and mastered to perfection.

I can't even pick...it's a lot of BAD BAD muthafuccas mentioned here...

Muddy Waters is the first Red album I reach for when I wanna hear some Red
Ironman is prolly my favorite Wu-solo,
Bow Down is the awnser to the Dr. Dre Ghost Producer Challenge
Final Tic and Picture This came out this year and were game changers
Wicked Buddah Baby is lowkey the prototype for what Texas rap should sound like
ATLiens is the best produced 'Kast album imo
Death Threatz might be the best produced Eiht album, also...

off the poll...I might have to say Reasonable Doubt.

Gotdamn this is such a fukkin classic year. I was five years old and still can kinda remember little little shyt, like my pops playing the songs and shyt in his truck.

That Avengers take on Illadelph Halflife is sooooo fukkin dope too, been my laptop screensaver for months

AEOM was the best engineered no doubt, but it definitely wasn't the best that year. It wasn't at all cohesive as an album and felt like a compilation featuring....

For production sake, the best were The Score (which I cannot BELIEVE nobody mentioned), ATLiens and my choice HELL ON fukkIN EARTH!!!

The Infamous maybe the foundation, Murda Musik maybe the most commercial, but Hell on Earth is the QUINTESSENTIAL Mobb Deep album.

I remember when I was living in Denver back in Nov. '96 and G.O.D. pt. III was 1st played at the club and I wigged out even before P started spitting like WTF IS THAT and got just hype as shyt!! There wasn't a tune out that year that had me like that. That whole album was musically CRAZY. Havoc elevated his craft to a whole next level and forced people to respect him as one of the GOAT producers.

*** side note, I'm surprised nobody mentioned It was Written either.

Decent production, maybe not the best of that year but still nice. And its ironic that the only
scust.png
beat on there i dont like is the one by Dr Dre (or his ghost producers)

And regarding your point on All Eyez on Me, i like the albums production, but I've always preferred the production on Me Against the World so i guess i can kinda agree with you
