Thread No.9 - Hip Hop albums with the best production in your opinion from 1996

Am gonna have to go with Ghostface's Ironman. This is the best produced of the Wu albums that ive heard with only one terrible beat (Assasiantion Day) that i still listen to for comedy purposes.

Other albums: Illadelph Halflife, Reasonable Doubt, Nocturnal and Soul on Ice. Infact, I think Soul on Ice was called out for having bad production, but the albums beats are decent to me.

This is so fukking difficult. 4 contenders imo:

- ATLiens: not so much the sound quality as much as the atmosphere that was created by that sound. Really sounds like some outer space shyt. Totally engulfs the listener.
- All Eyez on Me: the cleanest sound in 1996. Mixed and mastered to perfection almost. Sounds fresh still today, and some legendary beats of course on a 27 track double LP.
- Hell on Earth: Havoc taking drums to the next level here. Infinitely more hollow and lifeless and goes well with the extra menacing production. Also sounds very fresh, even compared to The Infamous that was released 1 year prior.
- Ironman: I've said this before, I think this album is technically better produced than OB4CL and Liquid Swords, I just prefer the sound of those albums better. Ironman just sounds more enriched and more refined. I think the production formula would be perfected a year later though on Wu Forever.

Gonna go with Hell on Earth.

Oaktown...Bay Area
good list i was thinking fuguees but it was just a song that made them huge and it wasn't about wyclef..all eyes ..yes if it was one album then it would be a classic. NWA is my vote..Cube changed history with that..it was more than Dre....
