It would be folly to accept publicized acts of charity at face value. Whenever a rich/famous person pulls a stunt like this the analytical mind can't help but wonder if theres a hidden agenda at play here. Some folks even harbor the same degree of dubiety whenever Bill Gates launches a campaign to give out vaccines to African people. We live in a cruel and harsh world and altruism is rarer than a non-racist white person.

Why is he doing this? Is he a genuinely good person that actually cares? Perhaps. Or perhaps this is the preliminary phase of his foray into a political career? Or maybe he wants to gain a seat at the board? Have a statue erected in his name? Every human being on this planet is motivated by self-interest.
Why can't we just be happy that the future of 400 students has been impacted by one man's kind gesture? It's hard to tell what people want; if someone has a ton of money folks complain that they aren't doing enough for the community. If they give their money to people, it's assumed that there's some ulterior motive at play. The sheer number of negative spins I've seen on this today is ridiculous.

This is 100% of the reason why I say black entertainers are garbage.

they could have BEEN doing stuff like this.

This is why our black leaders need to get it out the mud and go into real business.

Oprah can take her car giveaway and shove it

Are you just fishing for daps or do you really believe Oprah doesn't do shyt for black people outside of giving away cars?
:hhh:

And why are you speaking so definitively on what black people should or shouldn't be doing?

Breh thats how the internet is. Jokers will find negativity in anything. But in the real world most folks ain't like that and are usually thankful when it comes to good gestures.

Thats why I say jokers on here and on the internet are often times some bitter folks that are mad at the world. Same folks won't even lift a finger to help the people in their own community.

This thread highlights, among other threads here, how damaged a lot of people in the community are. It seems that some people are so beaten up by life they always see an ulterior motive behind any good deed. Much of the problem can be all the narrative-driven media consumed.

Breh the internet is the playground of the mentally ill. I won't take the opinion of some bitter folks on the internet as a reflection of folks in the real world.

:comeon: Stop it...it was clear who you were referring to and then you followed it up with the "data" shot , you maaaad thirsty to shyt on them. You probably currently refreshing Yvette's twitter page every couple of minutes hoping she say some slick shyt now that Tone showed love.:heh:
I'm on record more than once stating I don't like them and exactly why, and I didn't deny I meant them, but I let somebody else call them out by name. You quoting them too or is this just about me? :usure: Idk what you're expecting here.

Had Robert Smith been non ADOS, it'd be an example of the wealth we've been locked out of and exploiting 'sameness' for a feel good moment. Since he IS ADOS, it's an example of him understanding what Obama (a non ADOS, non Billionaire) can't, "because lineage".-- Either way, non ADOS are taking a hit for what you'd think is just a celebratory moment.

EDIT: And they're STILL finding a way to spin this (my original point) into something can be angry about. We can never just be happy. There's always a way for to harbor resentment with them, but *I'M* the one thirsty to hate :dead:

Notice he never attended an HBCU, but found a one he wanted to adopt.

This is what we got to get these PWI black graduates to realize...find you an HBCU to call your own...especially these athletes...that's how we keep our 101 institutions popping......and it's no different than these PWIs receiving big checks from random people or entities that have never attended.

@No_bammer_weed you negged me for saying Hitler was inspired by Margaret Sanger as false, well you were correct....................they actually inspired each other .......

mergeabclwitheugenics.jpg

It was published in the June 1928 edition of her Birth Control Review and it details her meeting (page 188) with American Eugenics Society representative, Leon Whitney, to merge her publication with that of the Eugenics Society. Whitney was the former Executive Secretary of the American Eugenics Society (AES) and Sanger published his writings in the Birth Control Review (BCR).

Of interest is that fact that, Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was so influenced by Whitney that he sent him a letter complimenting him for a book he had written on sterilization.

If you still have doubt she was a eugenicist that not only spoke to the KKK about pushing her ideas, but outright stated blacks had undesirable traits that needed to be contained and sterilized and called blacks specifically "the Negro problem" and need for racial hygiene....here are her quotes narrated

Timestamped @3:10 till the end

Let me say this, a lot of things we currently see as great have an evil history. I'm not saying we need to eradicate certain contemporary technologies, but it's important I think to not be so cult member like that we ignore the history of certain things.
