I didn't benefit in one way by what Mr. Smith did. I also paid back all my loans and my wife loans (we paid them off together).
Yet I still have the decency to be happy for these BLACK PEOPLE to get this once in a lifetime benefit.

Some years ago I adopted Jackson St. and Langston University. I attended a PWI yet I send Jackson St. and Langston money every year.
Also just because you didn't attend college doesnt mean you still can't adopt a HBCU and send them money.
I saw plenty of white folks when I went to my PWI who never attended college but left my PWI money in their will or sent the school money every year.
No reason for black folks not to donate to HBCUs whether they attended a HBCU, PWI or never attended college.
One other note over the years I met plenty of older black folks or knew people who had grandparents or great grandparents, great uncles and great aunts. Who grew up in the early and mid 1900s that sent black colleges and organizations (united negro college fund) money even though they never attended college. It was on some out of the goodness of their heart and believing in supporting their own type of steez.
This mind set is something our generation now severly lacks.
