someone (maybe him) referred to me as new black/bedwench and then with his pro-black card statement he implied i am pro-black. that is a lot of labels.

i do not pick positions on topics based on what is the pro-black thing to feel. i pick them because they're right, and taking away an imaginary card issued by some imaginary agency won't change my feelings because i've arrived at such a position using facts. often the positions i find myself taking fit the criteria of pro-black, but sometimes they won't.

I can't speak for the entire thread but I'm not supporting her being racially humiliated nor is this woman black. She's biracial and I'm just being honest; I know for a fact if someone like Blake Griffin started dating some famous white woman and he got racial slurs hurled at him I wouldn't care either way. I mean I'm not supporting what these people are saying but I'm not going out of my way to do anything about it either, biracials can stick up for other biracials when in situations like this. Especially considering the fact that she's with someone whose been know to throw out racial slurs himself.

I have asked this question repeatedly and I will ask it again? What kind of protection are you expecting from people on the internet? What does "protection" even mean? While I am disgusted by what happened to this young lady, I just don't see what anyone can do on the internet outside of being outraged. And this is one of the problems I have with people. Stop confusing message board comments with real life activism. They are not the same. It spits in the face of people who are putting in real work in the streets.

Now with that being said, I see both sides on this and I understand where people are coming from. But for me personally, racism like this shouldn't get a pass simply because people don't like that this woman is dating a white man. At the end of the day ugly racism being hurled at a person of color should not be tolerated. This is much bigger than these two people. If we're for fairness and equality than we need promote it across the board. What happened to this young woman is still inexcusable, but there really isn't anything people on the internet can do about it.

Im not going to defend her but you guys getting upset over biracials dating white is hilarious. She's not a black women. Her mother is white and isnt she British? Mixed race people in the UK do not identify as black.

I fukk with her music heavily . With that being said, she's not a black woman, and it's not the responsibility of black men to cape for her. Mixed people in the UK don't consider themselves black. The people who should be defending her are other mixed people and Robert Pattinson himself.

also, it is perfectly possible to point out someone has an advantage due to their background/skin tone, yet be against that same individual getting treated badly due to race. privileges often come with catches.
