I can't front, I'm a whiteboy But all through primary n secondary school, college, uni, clubbing and what not most if not every mixed person I know seemed to identify culturally as black.

Plus the riots happened behind Mark Duggan getting merked by police

It's really strange cos I really don't see mixed people identify themselves as black. 20 years ago white people used to refer to them as black but that is very uncommon nowadays and most white people accept them as being their own ethnic group

As far Mark Duggan, historically there have been a number of suspicious deaths of black men in police custody over the years so making him "black" fits the narrative nicely for the media. As for the aftermath, some of the people in his area may have cared but things got buck wild across London due to opportunists, not due to people really caring about the racial component to it.
