If he needs surgery he's done for the season, that's why the trade could be voided. Typically anyone with this injury has gotten surgery, Wilson Chandler got injured in preseason of the 2011-12 season and tried to tough it out, he made it till November then missed the rest of the season. Martell Webster had the same injury in November of the 2015 season, ended up missing the rest of the season after surgery.

Thomas fukked up not getting the surgery right away like Aldridge, he got his done in April of 2012 and was ready at the start of the next season.
