Not as worthless as Kyrie would be for them, especially since he's the one who demanded to be traded and has made it clear that he doesn't want to play in Bron's shadow. Moreover, the Cavs WANT that Nets pick.

It's Cleveland who's in a bad spot here, not so much Boston.
Cleveland HAS other trade dealers already set tho. They aren't going to be GREAT trades, but they are something. Boston will literally get NOTHING for Isaiah.

None of the other offers for Cleveland are going to be anywhere as good as Boston's current offer. And if this trade were to be voided, Clevelend would have even less leverage in future trade discussions because everybody knows that Kyrie wants out. And most other teams won't be able to offer anywhere as valuable a pick as the Nets' pick.

And, if anything, the message is clear for Isaiah: good luck commanding max money in free agency when everybody knows that his hip injury is serious. If anything, Boston could take a gamble and manage to re-sign IT to a less-than-max contract come free agency.

There's no other way to spin it. Cleveland comes out as the big loser if this trade gets voided.

The Suns trade wasn't that bad. Sounds like there's more than enough desire for the Suns that the Cavs could fall back onto that.

IT isn't playing for the Celtics again :mjlol: yall Boston fans gotta understand you can't treat people like this and expect it to be okay :russ:

Cleveland played this entire situation perfectly. Didn't rush, just went to every team out there asking what they would put on the table.

They used Irvings value + 2 years of control + lack of a NTC to create a bidding war between the entire league, that outweighed any notions about whether or not Brawn/Kyrie could possibly play together this year.

I think they're just bluffing because ultimately that Nets pick is more valuable than one year of an even healthy IT, but they're definitely still in position to get a good haul if the Boston deal gets voided.

:dahelldidyousay: nikka, there's a reason Cleveland is trying to salvage a trade with Boston instead of turning to Suns or whoever else to trade Kyrie. Again, the Celtics offer is as good as it gets for the Cavs. If you don't want to accept that, that's on you.

And the fukk you mean "you can't treat people like this and expect it to be okay"? :jaecrowder: Boston didn't mistreat anybody with this trade offer; Ainge gave more than enough value for Kyrie by offering IT (who everybody knew was injured), Crowder, Zizic and the Nets pick. Boston didn't do anything but offer a generous trade package to the Cavs.

You don't have a clue.

IT put his soul out for that franchise. Not even just the fans or the game or the city. Man has legitimate love for the franchise. That trade was the biggest form of displaying how little value a player had to ur organization in recent memory.

Everybody except Boston stans have a pretty good indication of what would happen if this trade fell apart except Celtics fans....

...but that sounds like the response to every failure of a move the Cs have made since Stevens was brought in to work miracles :mjlol: Ainge is gonna lead this franchise to a grand total of no finals appearances w the second best coach in the L if he doesn't get a superstar THIS year
