From everything reported and for it to get resolved with a throwaway 2020 2nd rounder it sounds like Cleveland knew completely the extent of ITs injury status :aicmon:... LeBron got wind that IT might not be ready to later in the season and they played up all this bullshyt to save face with him... Whole time they don't give a shyt if Thomas plays at all... He's a rental and what they really wanted was the Brooklyn pick for the long term

Yeah

If the cavs aren't gonna keep Isaiah (or trade him for some value) then they should have sent him somewhere else out of spite

Plenty of other shyt teams to get picks from

What does Boston winning the trade mean? Does anyone seriously believe that the Celtics will be a better team than the Cavs next season with Kyrie and Hayward as their lead tandem? :dwillhuh:

Not sure we'll beat the Cavs, but Boston won 53 games with marginal talent who got coached up by Stevens. We have better talent now:ehh:

Better talent but a worse team. Kyrie and Hayward is a random ass pair of stars and they gave up some of their defensive power to the Cavs. I see them finishing about 3rd or 4th in the East. No way they beat a healthy Cavs team in the playoffs.

We'll see.

I doubt Ainge was trying to build a team to beat the Cavs next year. He's building a team that will seriously compete when Tatum/Brown are entering their prime and Kyrie should be well in his prime (2-3 from now).
