Boston won

Cleveland dont have a legitimate number 2 anymore.

Who gonna score when lebron sitting?

IT was shut completely down in the playoffs. The celtics got better whem he got injured. Dude was a liability on the floor for them. Plus he got a bum hip.

They got fleeced long term but short term they're better

Cavs lost their 1B (1A at times/clutch times) scoring option

It's literally a two man game of Lebron/Kyrie now that's gone.. IT4 is a liability on D (even more than Kyrie) and can be shut down easily with a conscious effort.

He also wasn't worth that payday at his size

DRose is a complete shadow of himself and will suffer even more setbacks

Boston won short term.. If Lebron leaves (which is still highly likely) the Cavs have pieces but nothing substantial

This is one of the worst Bron teams (on paper) in recent memory. At least the ECF will be interesting

You can hide him on D to a degree. The problem is, they got DRose who isnt a good defender. Aint nothing easy about shutting down a guy that avg 29ppg without suffering serious consequences on defense. 2-man game still there. Also, this cheap 1-year rental of a guy avg almost 30 a game for $6 mil :picard:

the real question is how he returns from his injury :yeshrug:

Goatganda the pearl of Africa
Cavs future got brighter, doesn't help them in the short term tho.
Boston got a premier scorer, five years younger and more marketable.
Cavs won the trade but I don't see much difference in either team, performance wise at least.

five years younger?

kyrie is 25
thomas is 28

thomas avg more points than kyrie

thomas averaged 29 ppg last year in 33 mpg 46% freom the floor 38% from three 90% from teh line where he went 9 times a game

kyrie avg 25ppg in 35 mpg 47% frm the floor 40% from 3, 90% from the ft line 5 times a game

more marketable? , isaiah is the shortest guy in the league an all star, kyrie was only that marketable because he played with lebron, before lebron he was a good player on a bad team.

Hell to me isaiah for kyrie straight up is pretty much a wash, but to add a draft pick and crowder?

its highway robbery

Cavs might have gotten better in the short term. I'm liking their depth this year

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
Let's be for real, Crowder wasn't doing shyt against LeBron either :skip:

You're not going to stop him unless your the 2011 Mavericks.

Crowder at least slows him a bit. And he's going to be hell bent on destroying the Celtics every single time they match up because of Irving.

I don't wanna hear anyone talk about a lack of loyalty from players anymore by the way. This is a massive kick in the teeth for IT who gave his heart & soul for that franchise.

this was Boston's out and no one will blame them for it. any lesser player and they wouldve been trashed for giving up IT, when in fact, they never wanted to pay him or Bradley a lot of money in the first place. its a crazy business man.
