All of y'all who are bashing Ainge for this trade are going to eat your words when that Nets pick ends up being lower than a top 5 pick. :Danny:

The 5-6 pick in this draft might be Mo Bamba or Ayton which is exactly what the Celtics need. If the Lakers pick doesn't convey these niccas in trouble.

that trade was still bad. The Cavs had no leverage kyrie didn't want to be there. Boston didn't have to give all that up. A 6-7 pick is still a good pick

The Lakers pick concerns me, I'll admit that much. But I'm not so sure about this upcoming draft. I want to but into the hype for the next draft class but I feel like certain players are being overhyped and overrated.

Only time will tell.

personally I just dont see how Brooklyn is not going to suck.

Brooklyn is putting out a better team this year than last year, while other teams have taken steps to be worse than brooklyn this year. Brooklyn is actively trying to get better while under pick probation

exactly. also, its not that he isnt "worth" the max. he would be for a bad or mediocre team, no contender wants to pay him that to be their best player because in the playoffs he would get exploited. if he were 6'3" he'd be better than Kyrie.

If IT was even 6 ft, he would've never been traded. And truth be told, he would've probably never been a Celtic.

What's Isaiah trade value?

Anyone have an idea?

It's tough to say. He's in a contract year and he's a 5'9" PG that excels on only one side of the ball. And he's dealing with a hip injury.

It'd be tough as hell to move IT and expect to get a decent/good return. I'm not sure if there are many teams that have the assets to trade for IT and give the Cs what they want. Maybe Phoenix. Maybe the Pelicans (before they got Rondo). I'm drawing blanks after those two teams. It's weird because he's an all star player, was the 3rd best scorer in the league, and has shown he could be a number one (to some degree).

The IT/Kyrie trade was a godsend in the sense that the Celtics aren't going to be faced with paying max money for him.
