Not that I am saying this about Bun B cuz I don't know him nor have I ever been around him but you know that rappers play things up in interviews / albums / shows right? They really turn up their accent / twang to play that rapper persona. It isn't a far fetched idea that Bun B talks like this in a similar setting.

Sure I know this. But as a Bun B fan, I've watched many interviews of his. He's never tried to portray the role of a super G, he does talk intelligently and calmly. I just noticed in this commercial he turned up the cac accent heavy. Like I said, he's never c00ned it up in interviews or nothing, but the way he says things in this commercial is just not the Bun I'd ever thought I'd hear. He could've talked the same way he does in interviews (intelligent and friendly) and it would've worked just fine. He didn't have to cac it up like Kanye did on Kris Jenner, that's all I'm saying. I ain't arguing with y'all, and I agree on your side as well, it just was an observation that irked me a little....

thats why I made the thread breh, if you ever seen his interview at that college with lupe where he was defending hip-hop artists right to creative expression without censorship, he came off with his regular voice but he still sounded professional... idk wtf this is tho he had some of that kanye in him for this one

I applaud Bun for getting a check and I realize Colgate doesn't want "gangsta mannerisms" in their ads, but come on.... did the director tell Bun: "Can you talk more like a cac? Can you please bop and sway around in a more feminine manner? This is a cac movement and I'm going to need you to put on your best cac-like song and dance."
