Taxes and insurance would probably be the roughest part. Let alone what you'd have to sink into them to get them to be livable, etc.

but you see new glass in the windows. You don't see pieces of paper taped to the front doors.

What does that tell you?

The lil cacs, aka children of the old cacs who did the White flight to help bring down Detroit, have already arrived back to the core city to stake claim.


and they have the resources to do it easier.

the sad part is whats gonna happen to people when they start coming back.

my neighborhood was a shythole here in harlem n then when columbia university started buying property now u see white people everywhere and landlords trying to kick people out. they offered my grandma 50k for her apartment and she said :pacspit:. she been there more than 40 years and they tryna kick her out and move some yuppies in. its gonna take a hell of alot more than 50k she told em. thats my wela :win:

Buying a house for 10 but you have to think which areas have planned developments in the next 5 to 10 years. Any area that they plan on building a mall or Starbucks or any of that shyt are the areas you want to buy shyt in

"most" States with inner cites have houses for the low. I've seen houses purchased for as little as $1. BUT they are pieces of shyt for the most part and require a significant amount of money to bring up to code and make habitable. So a $10k home is going to cost you at least $50k.

Unless you have the money to buy and renovate several of these properties at once OR the patience to sit on it for a long time it's not really worth it, imo. Selling is going to be tough because these house are typically in shytty neighborhoods.

I really think Detroit is going to turn round by 2040. its location makes it worth it right by Canada and other interesting places

I agree with you. I think that it's a good investment to buy these cheap homes but if you ONLY have $10k to invest, then I wouldn't even bother. It's a bigger financial investment than that.
