No your excusing this as just being goofy is the c00ning.

NO OTHER RACE WOULD ALLOW THEIR KIDS TO BEHAVE IN THIS FASHION AND MAKE EXCUSES EVEN IF HE WAS JUST CLOWNING.

What other race send their kids to school to ""clown". And then the adults make excuses for it?

Look, it's time for black people to soldier up and stop this c00n behavior.
So you don't see the thread showing literally thousands of white kids "clowning" and white people not even addressing it, let alone condemning the kids to prison or violence.?

Oh yeah, no question this is in response to what happened in S.C. But why can't people just accept that both incidents are wrong and need to be addressed?

I accept it (that's the gist of my first sentence, because that's one aspect of it : better funding for schools and more power to teachers, but I didn't develop my thought) but at the same time it's also no coincidence it comes out now.

I mean anyone can dig up a random video from 4 years ago to adress any issue, at any given time. When you decide to do it speaks volumes on the intent imo. Why didn't the vid make waves 4 years ago? Why didn't it come out 2 years ago?

And while both incidents are wrong, they are not equally wrong : one cannot equate kids, however they may misbehave, with cops, who serve a function in society and are responsible for the security of citizens. Cops have a duty, follow a training, are adults, and their function is to serve the community and appease tensions. They are to be held at a higher standard, as any other person working for the community should be. Never forget that cops are supposed to work for security of the citizen and of the community. Obviously as times goes by we become more and more cynical about the fact to the point of forgetting it, but that's the essence of police work. The same cannot be expected from a group of kids.

The two things are wrong, but cannot be compared and both must be adressed but in different ways.

Not to mention one was real violence that resulted in someone being injured. And the other wasn't.

Not going to hold them, when I was younger and there was a sub coming in I was the one to test them off bat. Some I knew was p*ssy from there voice, some gave off a I don't care what you do flow about themselves.

I can't really say anything other than she was weak and they took advantage like any kid would do.

Still don't understand how teaching is one of the lowest paid professions. To be honest I'm sure there are people on here who have family members like this and so do I. I'm talking about certain people who are very funny about their kids. Their kids have no home training & they take them places or to other family members houses and then get upset if you correct them for anything.

Now a lot of those same kids go to school & disrespect the teacher and any authoritive figure. A lot of teachers have to be a educator and parent and that's wrong, to me it starts at home. Watching that video is cringeworthy and will be used as a template for people to say "look at those black kids, they're savages".

This. I mean it's litteraly one of the most important jobs in any society, you're basically in charge of educating those who will make up tomorrow's society.

This shyt is fukked up. The poor woman.

Those kids don't deserve an education. SMH

Their behaviour is a direct result of poor parenting.

Why didn't she seek assistance from another teacher or the principal or someone? They don't have a PA system or what?

Yall gotta understand every teacher is not physically equipped to deal with threats from teens. They are not all roided up goons like "officer slam" and that shouldnt be a requirement just to teach a class. Sometimes these kids imtimidate teachers and threaten them with retaliation if they try to turn them in... especially older or female teachers. You guys think everything is so simple.. even when these kids get sent to the office for acting up they get sent right back to the teachers class after 5 minutes. I honestly dont know why anyone would want to work in a rough inner city high school to begin with. One of the most demanding and thankless jobs there is.

A teacher is a not and will never be a parent. They cannot be parents to the bad kids and teach the other 30 kids in the class at the same time. School is for learning period. You guys promote and reward bad behavior and then wonder why some kids say fukk it. Look at how much money was raised for the girl who was acting up in class that got removed by officer slam. What message yall think that sends the other 30 kids who come to that class day after day doing the right thing and trying to learn?

Yall need stop pretending yall care about these kids cause yall dont. These troubled kids never existed to you until a 15 second vine video went viral. Now yall wanna pretend to care about a foster kids well being? If this video or the other video of officer slam is shocking to you then you have been out out of touch with whats been goin on in schools across this country for years now..

Slow down, don't throw me into whatever category of people you're addressing.

When I was in school there was a PA system in every classroom that they play announcements & the national anthem on. They can also be used to communicate with the office.

And that was years ago so I assume that they would at least have the same technology or possibly an upgraded version.

Anyways, if that were me I would have stood up to the kids & if for whatever reason I couldn't control them or stabilize the situation I would have hit the button on the PA & asked for assistance.

And what, you're sayin all of the kids in the video are foster kids? Sounds like a stretch. Maybe the main guy who's actin up (which we don't even know for sure, we are speculating and assuming here) but all of them?

The kids in the video were not doing the same thing as the poor girl who got roughed up by officer slam. She was sitting calmly at her desk. These kids were wylin out all over the damn place, pickin chairs up, rollin on the floor and shyt.

This type of shyt does not happen and is not tolerated in Canadian classrooms.

It's normal that I'm out of touch with schools these days as I haven't been to a high school in years and don't have kids.

And it's also normal that I'm out of touch with the crazy shyt that's goin on in American classrooms cuz I don't fukkin live there.

I never said it was the teacher's job to be a parent to these kids but it is her job to control the classroom and to maintain an environment that is conducive to learning.

our stats as a whole say we are doing better than we ever have done in this country.
"A rising tide lifts all boats". Violence in minority communities is down mainly because violence in America is down. There's still a disproportionate amount amongst the minorities. Real progress for the minorities, specifically, is measured in the closing of that gap - and eventually surpassing other groups. I believe it will happen. But not with people like you tap dancing around the facts to make yourself feel better. Maybe, I hold my people to a higher standard than you?
No. Trying to draw overarching conclusions over any stat without context is not intellectually valid.
Good point. But answer my question: why are the good stats valid and the bad stats invalid. What specific research and "context" do you have that says all these achievement stats are deep insights, but the negative stats are propaganda? Enlighten me.
You black prison rate is high. Which is true. But it needs context. Studies also say blacks are targeted arrested and sentenced unfairly. So it's not a case of black people being inherent criminals as you'd suggest with the misleading stat.
You're projecting brother. I would never say blacks are inherently criminal. That's racist, self-hating and ridiculous. So lets just burn that straw man right now. Racist public policy was and is an immeasurable detriment to us. But we have to talk about personal responsibility too. These two ideas are not in competition. It is not a zero sum game: public policy vs. personal responsibility.

No I haven't seen the video so I must ask, are they really clowning or are they crossing that boundary and threatening physical harm?

This boy is bullying a smaller, female, teacher.

I've seen white kids "clowning" doing goofy stuff. I have minimum problem with white or black kids doing goofy stuff. THIS...wasn't goofy stuff.

This is like someone goofing around with a gun. This is like a 17 year old bullying a 4 year old and pleading he was just playing.

My question is, why are black people making excuses for this behavior?

Wrong is wrong...we should be able to acknowledge it.
