I used to think Glover was corny as fukk. Couldn't stand him. Between community and his early music that sounded like a wanna be making copy cat garbage o couldn't fukk with him.

But between Atlanta and his last two albums he's won me over. It's like he grew into his talents

His first album was TRASH, it was basically a fan playing Kanye, he’s significantly improved since then

Dont know how I missed this thread but yea this is amazing. I still remember asking people back in the day if they listened to his music and everyone calling him a Drake clone and dismissing his work all together. He been making amazing videos since 2011. He can actually sing and rap his ass off. The cat is truly talented and I bet FX feels real dumb passing on that Deadpool script.

Thing is, the talent was always there. He just didn’t have a strong creative direction back then. He hadn’t found himself yet and he was just an imitator. Even his comedy has and writing have improved by leaps and bounds.

It’s like when I hear a logic or torey lanez song. It always sounds like somebody else. They don’t have a voice. I think both are talented though

So how does that fit in with the narrative of parading around committing violent acts against his own? Who’s he doing this for? The cac that pulling the strings, “keeping you distracted and encouraging you to chase money”? If that’s the goal, then he failed to display that through the video and song, cuz he doesn’t show what’s at stake and doesn’t desensitize the viewer from the violence or call to action the real issue that’s he’s supposedly addressing.
