You do realize Trayvon was killed in real life by a cac identifying hispanic and in the video was killed by a black man, right?:stopitslime: What tone does that set?

I expect that because again, the real life situations this video borrows from are where we were victimized. This isn’t a two way street:mindblown:.

:aicmon: So now we shuckin and jivin while being victimized?

:hubie:

Its intresting

The video was cool, the song Im still dubious

I am a little curious as to how people's immediate reaction was to basically put Gambino in the upper tier of artists (he was kind of bubbling there for years you could argue) Feels like a video Kendrick would do but regardless of who does it with that message its appreciated

Im just not sure about the leap people made
Anyone else notice a lot of "Childish Gambino is here to replace Kanye" talk you seen online since this drop?:ld:

Man the video adds made context to the song.

Basically shows the chaos of america and the video depicts how black people and culture are used as a distraction. 1st murder was from what appeared to be a lone crazed gun man, but it was quickly covered up and the shuckin and jivin started and forgotten quick while chaos goes on in the back ground you focus on the black kids in the front dancing and singing, then it escalates to mass murders at our churches with an semi automatic weapon and quick back to the shuckin and jivin again and you quickly forget about it while being distracted by these kids dancing and not saying nothing with a bunch of add libs.

:mindblown:

Great video

Song is dope also
I love how its low key a shot at current rap while using current rappers and trends.

I honestly don't think the video is that deep. I'm seeing people losing their sh*t & hopping all over Gambino's dikk about the video, but it's eh, whatever.
