melo hasnt even been to the playoffs in years..... he should be happy just to get an opportunity to compete at the highest because it sure aint happening in NY. plus they actually WANT him, it doesnt look like NY does anymore.

they traded a few role players for a HOF player..... beverly is a good player but you make this move 10/10 times. lou williams is no spring chicken either.
but the move also makes you more attractive to other guys who want to be apart of something special and play in dantonis system. they arent dont dealing either
furthermore, what are the alternatives ? stand pat ? i salute them for actually trying while a lot of other teams are just going to sit back and try wait golden state out.

This wasn't a trade that puts us in contention at all. This was all about getting solid role players and assets to potentially move if a trade comes. how you gon tell Rockets fans what makes us happy. At the end of the day it's about wins and advancing in the Offs. If 17 & 10 does that while giving Harden more energy in May then that's all that matters.
