I would normally agree but you guys gutted your bench for him. He's got to put up some points in Houstonhow you gon tell Rockets fans what makes us happy. At the end of the day it's about wins and advancing in the Offs. If 17 & 10 does that while giving Harden more energy in May then that's all that matters.
Did we really gut our bench though? Lou Will didn't really come into the foray until after the All-Star break & was inconsistent as fukk anyway. Harrell barely got any burn after the All-Star break & Dekker got hurt + was an incredibly streaky shooter.

lou will getting bought out and going to kingsthey gave up Lou (who was a trade deadline rental), Pat Bev, and a bunch of kids who haven't proven anything yet. That's no where near gutting their bench.

I am pretty sure he got confirmation of that before asking for that trade. No reason for either side to make that move if they didn't agree to that
no we didn't gut our bench. lou will was a key bench piece after the trade, but we were good before the trade. dekker and harrell weren't key depth. bev is the only real loss from a performance angle but CP3 replaces him and some. we can find someone to replace lou will in free agency. and dekker and harrell can be replaced with other young players. ironically of the 3 young players we sent i was hoping to keep kyle wiltjer because unlike dekker he can actually shoot the 3 and would be a good end of bench development option.
