Dubai arrested Nigerian influencer Hushpuppi sentenced to 11 years jail​


Termed by the FBI as one of the world’s most prolific money launderers, Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai in 2020 and now faces 11 years jail time.
Ramon Abbas, known to his millions of Instagram followers as Ray Hushpuppi, pleaded guilty in April last year to conspiracy to engage in money laundering. In addition to the prison sentence handed down on Monday, United States District Judge Otis D. Wright II ordered him to pay $1.7 million in restitution to two fraud victims.

yooo this dude was so stupid... he had cash and could have stopped the scamming and disappeared but he stayed being greedy thinking he wouldnt be caught!!! :heh:

Crazy thing is that he was caught by accident too. Probably could have gone another few years.:wow:


The feds were chasing a Canadian money launderer and hushpuppi just happened to be in his phone book. :russ:

I've driven through Bratenahl. It's pretty nice. A smaller version of the Grosse Pointes of Detroit or the North Shore of Chicago.
