Lol i made that one comment in passing this morning, forgot about it until i kept getting quoted by angry nikkas. Calm down nikka. All i said was me and MY Pops wouldn't post a pic like this online. I didn't say YOU couldn't. What is up with all these emotional, estrogen nikkas these days always throwing fits. My post wasn't that serious to be catching feelings about

Nothing wrong with the action, but there is no need to post it on social media.
why not? Maybe the photo was for their other family members.

I took a photo with me, my son, my father, his father and his father and posted for the family on FB. That's 5 generations, that's black excellence and longevity. I'll be damn if someone said it was attention seeking. My great grandfather lived to be 97 having passed away a few months ago.

How is kissing your son's forehead soft???

Posing and posting it on social media is kinda cringe, but not enough to give thought to and make a thread about
what if they posted that photo for their other family members and someone else thirsty to go viral starting sharing it?

I kiss my son on the top of his head or forehead every night before bed and every morning I wake him up, tell him I love him and, "Good morning, son" and then commence to parenting and shyt...

Matter of fact, took same child to see his ill grandfather, my father, last night and he made it his business to tell him and loved him and kissed him on his forehead before we left.

That's respect, admiration, and appreciation. From a 3 year old.

:camby:

Ain't nothing soft or weak about ANY of that at all..
:salute:

Having a dad that loves you.
:blessed:

I get where some dudes in here are coming from though, and it definitely doesn't mean they don't have a loving father. My pops is the main reason i have a business/self employed. He's done more for me than most black fathers did for other black men i know, TBH. My dad started a business and had other forms of income. He hasn't kissed my forehead since i was a baby, he is the type to show his love through other ways. I was also whipping one of the dopest cars in high school because of him. I had the type of shyt upper class cacs and arabs were driving. My grades were good and i worked hard in the business, so it wasn't just "given" to me before someone says that.

But somehow this will devolve into "black fathers who care about their sons kiss them on the forehead", especially by the time it reaches Black Twitter and LSA. Nah...black fathers who care build and pass shyt down to their sons. That's what we need to stress. That's what's important, not staging some kiss photo for social media.

So for all those in here implying it, i don't agree that kissing on the forehead is the only way to be a loving father. Plenty of fathers show their love for their sons through other ways. My dad showed it by building something and teaching me how to run it

I don't think they're "soft", i just don't agree with all the ppl in here saying that this is the main way a black father shows love to their kid. If a kiss on the forehead is all it takes to make a man a good father, then all these nikkas who hold and kiss their kid for a few mins, then dip out are "good fathers" by default. And we definitely can't tell from a photo if a nikka is a good father. Ppl are overestimating a picture. What Tyrone builds and passes down to his kids matters more than kissing them for a few mins on a weekend visit. My dad hasn't kissed me since i was an infant but he is the best dad in the world (to me of course). A lot of you bragging about your dad kissing you on the forehead didn't get much more, it's obvious
