Fun fact to add a layer to this.....

Prince popped up on Chilli one day, invited her into his limo, had the driver ride around while he smashed her, and then dropped her back off at her crib and kept it moving without even a phone call afterwards.

Treated her like a nothing ass thot and she loved it.

Apparently Left Eye was not happy with TLC and was thinking about going solo in the early 2000s. This was after the whole "challenge" drama lol

Pretty much. I like the TLC cover but having women sing the same lyrics completely misses the point of the original. Changes it from a commentary on what intimacy in a relationship actually means to your standard "I want you to be my man" R&B joint. If I Was Your Girlfriend is my favorite track off Sign Of the Times and a top 10 song in his catalog imo.
