There's a thin line between the two. Any hustler is a bit of a con artist because they're skilled at convincing people to buy an overvalued product, or one that might not necessarily be in the buyer's best interest. That's why you shouldn't put any sort of faith or trust in a hustler. And you definitely shouldn't look for one to teach you about stuff like history, biology, psychology, etc.

He’s more of a snake oil salesman than anything he sales conspiracy theories and quack science as fact. The man is a great showman got to give him credit. The way he reinvented himself to become this pro-black flim-flam man is quite impressive.

I gotta say Dr. Umar almost had me fooled until I heard about him ripping off people a couple years back.

I have worked in my community here and abroad for many years trying to uplift my black brothers and sisters and for you to call me a white supremacist or a sympathizer is bullshyt. I mentored and worked with kids from Compton Avenue in Compton, City Honors in Ingelwood to Western High and Sunset Mountain in Las Vegas. I worked with Jim Brown and the Amer-I can program when I was fresh out of highschool. Before my father died we went back to Nigeria where we gave out school supplies, books and clothes in some of the remote areas.

If you spreading knowledge, if that's your overall goal to help your people then how much money you're making from it should be the farthest thing from your intentions, because then you're not as concerned crossing your T's and doting your I's. I used to listen to some of Umar Johnson's lectures and found myself agreeing with a lot of what he had to say but the way he's handling the fundraising for this school has put a bad taste in my mouth...you can't ask for $5 million for a school then lash out at people and delete people's comments that want to know where their money is at..Tariq, while he says some stuff I dont agree with at times, is transparent with his business endeavors and when he says he's gonna do something he gets it done...thats what I respect most about him

i would rather debate on my own platform as well. i've only heard one debate on another station and the ladies sandbagged them. one of the same chicks called his platform the next day and she was suddenly civil.
