Hustling and "spreading" knowledge should not be synonymous with each other. If you spreading knowledge, if that's your overall goal to help your people then how much money you're making from it should be the farthest thing from your intentions, because then you're not as concerned crossing your T's and doting your I's. You're all about that paper and the very last thing we need as people.

And you can't pull the "well, uhm, other races do it to" in refer to fukking restaurants of all things because that's industry and BUSINESS not a goddamn hustle that a community as a whole benefits from. A community can't be hired from no DVD .

But as it's been stated before, it's very telling how apeshyt Nasheedians , Johnsonites get when you bash their idols, again not to throw shade at those brothers by no means. But how these so called men get nerve wrecked when you realize that they are only in love with the ideals and personality of these two brothers and not truly helping their people.

As I stated before, and as I read on this board, if you think you need a DVD, a facebook and all that bullshyt to help your people, you better off selling scented oils.
Tariq started the Recall 4 Mike movement though. :beli:

like who and about what?

Those "scholars" from the "conscious community" do radio debates all the time, on a level playing field. Instead of bytching & moaning about black feminist all the damn time, why don't tariq debate on rather the information in his DVD's is true or false?

:dahell: is there any particular reason you wanna see that nikka debate so bad? I don't agree with everything the dude says, but at the end of the day he's a black who's honest about who he is and what he does. He said he's not a black leader. He says he's an independent dude. He says he wanted to make hidden colors because he got tired of the bullshyt he saw on the History channel.

I fukks with his shows, I donated to his films, and I appreciate the fact that he's probably one of the only few black people with a platform who'll honestly talk about racism and what we have do to begin to fix our problems.

Why are y'all nikkas trying to make dude the next fukking Malcolm X for :what:

In short, it's the "I got mines, now you get yours". mentality.

That's some bullshyt. Whatever fukk nikka.

Who is going to fund it? Answer me that before you get angry and start calling folks names?

People pay these people to come to their cities and speak.

Only a fukk nikka feels like these people should fund themselves by NOT working for themselves, then put their own gas in their cars, pay for their own hotels, food etc to show up to places to expend time energy and effort to speak. ALL FOR FREE.

Why do black folks have a problem with black people getting money for their time? It's incredible.

This is how I know you're a tad slow.

The saying "I've got mine, now you get your's" mentality implies that a subject has the means to make moves. I.e. Tariq Nasheed has the means to make moves, as an independent entity you are funding yourself genius.

Now that we've got that out of the way, let's continue.

Black folk have a "problem" because we've been duped, and scandalized by people making money off of us in the name of black unity. A lot of you young "pro-black" nikkas, seem to fall for the bare minimum of any kind of standards when it comes to this shyt. I guarantee you'd have a problem if Tariq started making his show subscription based and you had trouble juggling whether or not to slide the nikka some extra $$.

And shorty, ain't nobody said the nikka can't make a name for himself and make his brand a household name, it's just when nikkas have issues with how you go about carrying it, they gonna speak on it. They have every right to, especially when it comes to so called helping our people, and as I have stated before, when you're more concerned with making $$ then helping your people, you tend to cut corners.

I see where we miss each other. I think everyone should work for themselves and lead by example. You're more of a "yes work for yourself then you work for me" type of dude.

I don't invest in any of these folks that much to have a deep feeling of them. Only thing I see is two dudes getting they asses up and out of bed and doing what THEY have to do for THEMSELVES. If it helps anyone else by inspiring any positive thought then it's all good.

There is and should be no "I've got mine now you get yours' "Mentality".

Every MAN should be working for and doing what he has to do for himself and his family. fukk a FREE LUNCH or HANDOUT.
Especially fukk looking to the next man to work hard for himself and his family then expecting him to feed you as well. AND Being angry if he doesn't.

Everyone on this earth has at one point benefit from someone helping them out at some point.

Corporations get tax breaks all the time, no one bats an eye, but we should flat out ignore and disreguard people who choose to help the less fortunate?

No one ever said Umar & Tariq had to donate anything. People are just calling into question how they built themselves up on the name of black unity and black empowerment, and yet they produce nothing of substance other than a rabid, blind fanbase.

tariq wouldn't have "gotten his" if he had your mentality to give everything away for free. the funny part is dudes like you who talk that shyt just so happen to be the most stingy when it comes to breaking bread. y'all dont donate to anything, y'all start or support black businesses, y'all just stick your hand out and ask for free shyt in the name of keeping it pro-black.

First off lil nikka, you know jack shyt about me.

I got brothers young and old out of the gang life and help them get their damn GED's and move on with their lives
I work at the local food pantry giving food to families who have NOTHING coming in.
I also volunteer my time as a counselor to brothas out here who have problems at the home.
Recently, I appeared more at smaller meetings in regards to getting black people to vote, despite me being anti-government.
I also give people info on local farmers markets on where to find fresh food and vegetables so they're not always eating junk.

I do this because I love my people, because that's what a community does. Lend a fukkin hand. You new "pro-black" nikkas forgot that.

This is the small amount I have done in my community with MINIMAL money spent, don't you ever fukking try and pigeon hold me like you know me and what the fukk I been through and what I've done. I don't need no fanbase, no simp ass black woman hating idiots on the coli defending me or twitter to get off my ass and offer my people my time, "brotha".
