If they were really smart they'd cut their on air personalities, their former player analysts, a few of their online contributers but mainly and I know they don't want to do this but can ESPN 2. Get rid of the entire network. It provides nothing 80% of the year except when cfb is on. So they can that network and take that live content and put it online with ESPN 3. And ESPN 3 needs an upgrade. And if they have daily shows that come on 2 that they want to keep they can move those to ESPN and then you don't have SC on 8 hours a day.
They need to consolidate

here's the problem, sportscenter worked when we were growing up, there weren't a million different ways to get information faster/in real time. you got wild shyt that happens in a game, and 2 minutes later it's on vine, instagram, and youtube and has become a meme on twitter. you can get live updates pushed to your phone, you can watch games on your damn phone....we don't need 8-12 hours of sportscenter to keep us in the know. they need to evolve, the same way music channels had to come to terms with no one giving a fukk about watching music videos all day, they need to come to terms with no one needing that many highlights, especially when everything is dissected to death in all their debate/talk shows

they're not gonna dead the newspaper because Twitter and the web can get it to you ASAP. They're not gonna dead Sportscenter for the same reason: some people like waking up or working out with Sportscenter on. There's always gonna be that crowd that wants that. Even the centralized sports channels have their own version of Sportscenter that they loop to no end. I can get all the MLB info I need online, but I'll be damned if I say MLB Tonight ain't fukkin piff. Let's keep it 100, MLB Tonight doesn't do much different than ESPN (hell, look at their staff, some of those guys are from ESPN), but they do it a lot better for their format which is why they kick everyone's ass. Same with NFL Network and NHL Network.

Do they dissect it to death? Of course, but the only motherfukkers who would watch ESPN 24/7 in any sort of way are hardcore die hards who ain't got shyt else to do with their time (this is where the coli comes in). If all these shows are a slight variation of the same shyt, why are you watching all of them? The problem is some of y'all watch every show they have. Of course you're gonna be burnt out. Personally I stick to HQ on a somewhat hardcore level on TV-- the sports talk radio format is more to my liking otherwise.
