move that content online and sell it as a subscription. What does ESPN 2 show? Forreal idk cause I don't watch that network but through the week what sports air on that network. I do know it doesn't air NFL games or NBA games and I doubt MLB games. Network can be scrapped. Along with the other hang along networks they got. ESPN, ESPN news, should be the only on air networks and everything else can be shifted to an online subscription site.
what they've always showed: other sports. Y'all think they show crazy shyt when it gets slow. I can remember them airing sumo wrestling and karate and timbersports. Instead of sportscenter or whatever, they had exercise shows in the morning. The network wasn't designed to just be another ESPN but rather the alternative.

I get so sick of this. when nba was nbc nikkas said it should be back on cbs. NBA on NBA or CBS would suck just as bad as NBA on ABC if Mark Jackson, Van Gundy & Breen are calling the games. They suck.
I have never seen such blatant nostalgic dikk sucking like they do this board. There was nothing special about the NBA on NBC.

Muthafukkas in here just suck off anything that was done 20 years :scust:

 @ thinking Beadle getting fired would change anything, like her not being on ESPN at all for 2 years didn't happen. ESPN brought in Charissa to Sports Nation, she was doing splits, the show didn't miss a beat. Beadle was on NBCSN and doing Hollywood shyt, yet all y'all could do was talk about Beadle :pachaha:

Exactly. Alternatives. Small niche followings. No need for a network for small ish like that when they can move it to an online service.
Yea they've always shown alternative stuff but this isn't the 90s anymore. Times have changed. They have a different Avenue to broadcast those things.

Network is way too big, and employs way too many people to talk shyt about a sport they usually know nothing about

"Sees Marcellus Wiley talk about the Blackhawk's Stanley Cup runs

It really hasn't, because a lot of that shyt became big enough to hit the main network.

X Games? on ESPN, summer and winter. World Series of Poker? On ESPN as we speak. Spelling Bee? On ESPN PRIME TIME. Boxing? Shiit, somebody was holdin it down all those years. Stuart Scott? So good they had to promote him to the main SC. Olbermann? Same thing. Cassidy Hubbarth is about to be that chick on the network besides Kolber and Czarniak just off doing those ESPN2 NBA shows nobody watches. If ESPN followed that same formula today, all the announcers you do like would be on ESPN2. God help us all if ESPN2 hopped on that MMA wave early. It would be a lot better if ESPN2 served its original purpose because they were puttin people on game.

Times are changing as in TV moving towards the web and eyes moving towards the Web.

Do you watch college sports? ESPN2 airs a ton of games during CFB and CBB season, basically the same number as ESPN does if not more.

Grantland is the only ESPN (non live sports) entity I give any type of shyt about. Hope they don't destroy it.

They about to give that the :camby:.....they were already talking about how it was barely financially viable with Simmons there, but now? Those folks all getting the can.....and I bet Billy Simmons in the background just itching to scoop em all up again for whatever his new shyt will be.

I'd never thought I'd see the demise of ESPN, but this seems like the suits are looking at the bottom line and doing the standard "cut costs, but bring us more revenue" move that never really works...I wouldn't be surprised if the end game for Disney is to sell ESPN just because that's the next move in the suits playbook

In one of my earlier post I said that it's all they show that's worth anything.
And it's only a few days of the week for the entire year.
Again content that can be moved online.
More people are skipping on cable and get things like hulu and amazon and netflix. Especially young people. It's only a matter if time because that is the way the broadcast industry is going.
Theyre trying to cut cost not keep everything the same for the sake of nostalgia.

Yo those outdoor games or whatever were piff. Bruhs doing that tree climbs, cutting trees. Pawgs running on logs :blessed:
