No way, if anything I think he's underappreciated, he literally made the best sounding music ever, lol, think about that. I know it's all subjective but still, to even have that said about you by a wide range of people is a feat in itself

Kanye West's greatness tho is the most exaggerated, odd, media brainwashing ish I've ever witnessed.

How could his greatness be exaggerated

Lets review

MJ's musical catalogue is absolutely impeccable......Hit after hit after hit after hit.......go play MJ's music at a party and see people light up.....Mike has bangers...dance music, ballads...social joints that you could still rock to with a bad little jawn......Mike's collection has everything thematically

Mike's performances and showmanship............I mean do I really have to explain this.........His shows are LEGENDARY....people associate certain periods in their life around a specific MJ appearance...his Superbowl halftime show PUT THAT shyt ON THE MAP....people use to tune out and go do something else.....people now stick around to watch it live and at home....his performances at awards shows........

His music videos............Can you name another artist who elevated the music video genre more than the gawd Michael Jackson......think LONG and HARD before you answer this........MJ's music videos to this day outshine many of those who have come after despite them having access to better technology and video effects.......The Smooth Criminal video remains a mini cinematic masterpiece to this day

His impact.............he got black music played on radio stations and other mediums that did not give it a second thought back in the day

When MJ went to visit a country he regularly required a military escort because people clamored to see him while he moved around...................not police......not private security......motherfukkers had to send the MILITARY breh

MJ albums were CULTURAL events.....not album releases......them shyts caused pandemonium

I could go on............................................and I aint even once mentioned album sales cause that was not even the tip of the iceberg for who might be the greatest showman we seen thus far.

MJ could have toured on his catalogue till the sun burned out breh....thats how real the shyt is

Still bewildered at a man putting Beyonce above Michael Jackson. You literally couldn't get any gayer than that other than actual sexual attraction to men :snoop:
Thanks for letting us know the deal with you OP

I think the OP has a point. He has what 15 or so albums, yet people talk about Thriller...his what..7th album? I actually think Off the Wall (the disco album) is his best album. Yes, I had Off the Wall and Thriller on vinyl when I was a child. I wish I still had them, cause they would've been on Ebay. Even if I give you Dangerous (he was a joke by then), you really gonna tell me that people felt Invincible or History? And what about his other albums from the 70's that people don't mention at all.

The Jacksons had 15+ albums and Jermaine carried them as much as Mike. I think Mike had the best possible branding ever, pegging him as the star, and that carrying through his entire career...even when the output didn't match.

even beyonce would laugh at you for this.....she ain't beating chris brown in dancing and he is the closet to mike

Bobby was coming for Michaels spot,Hammer was coming for Michaels spot...like op said it was just bad timing and in Hammers case he was shut down by hiphop.

His greatness is overexaggerated in the sense he got two classics and a bunch of duds afterwards:mjlol:....well Pac got 4 classics,Cube got 3 and a classic group album for nikkaw bout to run innhere with "bu bu but jackson 5"....could Michael write a classic album for Jermaine or Tito nikka:childplease:?

With that said timing isneverything,so no his greatness wasnt overexagerated....he was as great as great can be when he was great....but musically speaking he is to me.

Drake > Mike

Kanye ≥ Tupac (due to the fact he lived longer to fulfill his wishes)
