Does GOD allow more than ONE Wife currently?

IN the bible several men who were worthy had more than one wife.


Is it possible for a man to genuinely love more than one woman?

Do you think GOD still gives permission to marry more than one wife?

Do you think if it were allowed would society be better off? The family unit is all but destroyed in this country..and if I'm wrong then it's on it way down

I have to admit that during to Toman influence Christianity has some things that are suspect.

And Islam do actually acknowledge Jesus as a prophet and worship a one true GOD...So there IS something right they're doing.

Only Paul forbids it and you can argue he did that for cultural reasons. Jesus did imply that a woman who had 7 husbands in succession actually only had one though. Plus in the requirements for deacons in the New Testament - one husband to one wife. So monogamy in the New Testament is strongly implied. But not ordered as far as I see.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. We live in different times today.

Most men have a hard time just taking care of themselves these days. Then get one woman and can't even control her and that woman more than likely has to work. Now add two women that don't fully respect you because you can't provide fully it's not worth it for most men.
