Yup. It's called defensive driving for a reason, but it's becoming a lost art. The problem is most ppl don't have the ability to control their own driving, let alone pay attention to what other drivers are doing. And now with cell phones seemingly permanently attached to ppls hands, well...

I think my pops is the best I've ever seen. He's gotten out of a few situations that I thought for sure were gonna turn into an accident, solely due to him paying attention to what other drivers are doing.

Yeah majority of drivers don't drive defensively. They are on the offense, trying to drive faster than everyone and get in front. That leads to folks continuously braking and causing accidents. I see it everyday. People speeding and jumping from lane to lane in heavy traffic just to hit their brakes hard and stop at the same red light like everyone else all that for nothing.

I've definitely avoided accidents due to driving defensively. And as a pedestrian I've been tapped twice by muthafukkas not stopping all the way at a stop sign. Even then, IDK how they didn't see me in front of them walking in broad daylight Luckily they weren't going fast but you shoulda seen the look on their face like I'm so sorry. Folks don't pay attention out here.

That’s terrible. One time I saw on an episode of one of those real life ER shows how this biker crashed. He lost both legs and one arm on the scene. His left arm was mangled to hell and they had to amputate that one too. Didn’t watch any type of gore shyt after that for awhile, and I’m not squeamish at all.
