I did the search and I still don't see all these posters who believe Draymond is/was a top-10 player. More lying. It's neverending with you.Search "Draymond top 10" and you'll find plenty of kool aid-drinking clowns talking about it or defending the position. Its a minority opinion because most people arent insane, but plenty nonetheless are.
Also if Draymond was actually capable of his presence alone creating a +25 win differential like you said earlier, then you should absolutely believe he's top 10. That's top 10 impact.
The Knicks are currently ranked 25th on defense; replacing Melo with Draymond would turn them into a top-10 defensive team. That's at least 25 wins off the strength of that alone (especially given the fact that KP would have more energy for offense with Draymond anchoring the D). While Draymond wouldn't be able to replace Melo's scoring output or attract the same DA, he would however be exactly what the Knicks need on offense - a playmaker (again, especially for KP's growth and the general function of Hornacek's offense). There's enough scoring between KP, Rose and Draymond (with the help of the supporting cast) that would go a long way to replacing whatever veil of impact Melo has on offense.
I never said that at all. You're taking what I posted out of context. I said it would account for 25 wins - meaning from the start of the season. Not adding 25 wins from where they're currently at (.404). No where in my post to I ever mention that Draymond would add 25 wins. And again, it wouldn't just be Draymond alone, it would be because of Porzingis too. It would allow him to stick to his strengths (protecting the rim + spurts of help defense), and for Draymond to take care of the rest. It'd be the best defensive frontcourt in the league by a comfortable margin. At the very least the Knicks would have an identity that's conducive to winning, rather than whatever the fukk it is they're now.
They're currently at .404 with Melo on the team, which is about 33 wins for the season.
My position is that with Draymond in place of Melo (Knicks having a top-10 caliber defense with a Draymond/KP frontcourt), that it would account for 25+ wins - meaning the majority of their wins for the entire season would be due to the success of their defense (I'd see them winning around 40-44 games in total). Not a +25-win differential like you seem to think I'm suggesting.
Again, you're taking what I said out of context. We can revisit this discussion when you learn to read properly.
