We can agree to disagree. I look at legend and icon as one in the same. You have to be legendary in order to be iconic. Paul Pierce will be an NBA Hall of Famer and that's it. We all watched breh play and his career to me don't equal to legend.

To answer your question, Dirk is a legend in international basketball kinda like Manu is. Dirk about the same as PP if we talking NBA, maybe slightly higher up simply because he was a trailblazer by being arguably the GOAT Euro and being a unique talent as a 7 foot shooter. Great player during his era in the NBA, but not at the table of legends like Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, LeBron, etc.

I dont understand the "unattainable standards" u nggas try to apply nd hold everything to. Jordan...Lebron...Magic..Bird are anomalies. If someone does not ascend to their exact levels of greatness doesnt negate their high talent level...they transcended greatness. Barkley is a legend...Paul Pierce is a legend...Hakeem....Dirk...u know why? Because these ppl were UNSTOPPABLE in their primes at their best. I dont give credence to what nggas were doin once they got old.
