Having a social safety net benefits poor people in any country, and black people are more likely than most other demographics to be poor, therefore having a social safety net is beneficial. It's not complicated.

I think the unique trauma the black community wrestles with allowed "safety nets" to destroy the black household and further marginalize black men, who willingly abdicate patriarchal responsibility in the face of such insurmountable oppression.

This doesn't mean safety nets are a bad idea though. It means we also need different and additional solutions for black people.

The problem is a lot of conservatives want to throw the baby out with the bath water. Safety nets don't solve everything so they rush to get rid of them altogether. That's irrational and people on the left aren't arguing for safety nets to be the only solution.

I consider the false sense of agency that these policies give blacks to be detrimental to our advancement... and I dont hear anyone on either side promoting black interest.
Hence my first post in this thread...

Neither side of the isle is interested in the advancement of black men.

Statist policies seek to provide stability to white supremacy... as a black man, I see nothing desirable about that.

Why do I favor conservative policies over statist policies?

In short, I believe that statist policies are lulling blacks to sleep and that Republican policies wake us the f*ck up.
Think turning up the heat on the frogs slowly... if your familiar with that saying.
What we are seeing now across America largely confirms this.
I also favor the destabilization of Nazi Amerikkka under Trump(Rethugs) over the strengthening Hillary(Dems) would have likely provided.
Its also fair to mention that I consider a strong America to be the biggest threat to world peace and am pleased with China and Russia stepping up on the world stage in lieu of Trumps... idiocracy.
