During the Justice Or Else rally in DC this past weekend, Farrakhan called for blacks to boycott Christmas this year. Says we spend $400 Billion during Xmas holidays.

"This Christmas sit around the table, and bring Christ back to a day that was supposed to honor him.
Put the bottle down, put the loud down, put the beer down and get around your table with clean food and teach about Jesus and then show love forgiveness and reconcile your differences within the family, and this would be the best christmas that we've had in a long time. If you could put $400 billion dollars and keep it in your pocket, then you've got a little money to invest, and what we want to do is buy up as much land. We're asking government for 100 million acres as a start (about the size of California)."

Farrakhan has some solid speeches but overall, he is questionable in my book. most of our black leaders went out 1 of 2 ways. the one's assassinated were the one's who were feared and thought to really be able to unite us. those who were allowed to live (and if you think that I'm wild for saying that, just research FBI files dealing with Black Leadership, the goal to infiltrate it and undermine it's positive growth and influence) they have been tainted. Farrakhan saying we should buy land but where is the classes or seminars which explain the laws and regulations you have to follow in order to maintain the land?

I'm tired of Black Leader's saying all this shyt we should be and shouldn't be doing, yet where is the classes and the lessons to help us reach these proposed goals? Yea, it's cool to own your own business but I'm willing to bet a dollar to a dime that 9/10 times the average brother or sister has no understanding of the laws and registration requirements for such ventures. always someone looking down on you and telling you how you should live YOUR life.

Is Christmas the real problem? I don't know, but I give credit for the OP sharing his beliefs like that along with Farakhan too share. Maybe the real problems aren't really known, and we bring up Christmas one day a year because it always comes once a year. Stability people, that's the name of the game. Although have you noticed recently how people will say Christmas but not really mean it? lol Crazy talk. But it's important enough to talk about it.

well christmas is a pagan holiday, so it really is the height of hypocrisy for anyone to proclaim to be christians and celebrate it. Besides that, the economic implications might be worth looking at. The discussion of unity and concentrated, strategic spending as a group might be beneficial, no?
