For Walmart perhaps, but for small businesses one customer is huge.

I would stop for lunch on my bike route 2 or 3 times a week at this one spot and spend 12 to 15 dollars on lunch.
12 x 3 (36)
15 x 3 (45)

x 4 weeks

144 to 180.

They raised the price of their smoothies and I started going elsewhere, but still passed them cause they were on my route that I ride.
3 months later they were out of business.

Assuming they lost only myself and just two other regular customers like myself thats 500 a month that they had come to rely on that suddenly is not there.

So while major corporations can afford to take entire years where they are in the red, most small businesses will simply go under if they lose regular support. (I know my above example is anecdotal and other factors could have assisted in the restaurants failure, just providing a real world model of something I witnessed)

Your spending or refusal to spend makes a tremendous difference on the local level.
on a local level. aka a small level. When you boycott major chains, who will be hurt? the poor. Mostly your fellow African Americans. But hey keep thinking your boycotting will cause major change.

He drops jewels but nah

He made more money for Jewish and Europeans business owners in the DC/MD/VA area last weekend alone with his spectacle downtown

He's trolling the "black" community with this unrealistic challenge
people fail to realize this, be careful, there are some sensitive negroes in here when you talk about farrakhan... they get mad and start calling you names, like they 8 years old..:sas2: when you call farrakhan out who he really is.

"bu bu bu BET and CNN didn't cover it"

It was on C-Span and Revolt :mjlol:

Y'all need to start thinking outside the box. Farrakhan isn't a threat to the system he works with the system.
yeah, amerikkka kills the threatening negro leader, who can reach to the masses... these cats now are just double agents.

Boycotting does not hurt the poor.

I don't feel like teaching an economics course, but the short of it is non-shared employees and/or potential consumers cannot be hurt by corporate failure, only temporarily inconvenienced as the market levels and competitors fill in the holes left by companies vacating the space.

The employees and consumer quite literally have no stake, as the stakeholders are the ones in position to be hurt by boycotts.

I got big balls. I'm not afraid to call him what he is. These Lil nikkas are going to learn today.

I was once a young bul who respected Farrakahn's slick talking until I really began to see him for what he is.. They'll evolve

So basically...

Spend time with your family and limit unnecessary spending.

Something you're suppose to be doing all year round.

I guess Christmas is a start though.

Also, giving a gift or two really doesn't hurt. The Three Wise Men did give Jesus some gifts.

As long as your kids know there's more to life than just materialistic items (which there is nothing wrong to have), I think you're fine.

With that said...

Some of y'all don't come off to me as actually caring about bringing the Black community together and working effectively in a civil, fair kind of way to make things happen.

It seems more of an insatiable lust to gain power, control, and dictate with a mindset of "I know what's best for you" with some of you "woke" types.

Sound Reasoning
they probably spent close to a mill maybe a little over last weekend with all the major white companies who own hotels, retail stores, and restaurants in the DC area. :jbhmm:

Keep ignoring this inconvenient truth

Should we have stayed on the street? Camped out on The Mall? Not eaten? There are not enough black owned hotels in DC to have housed the million or more that showed up.

And how do you know that black businesses didn't receive a boost during that weekend as well? :jbhmm:

What would your solution have been? :jbhmm:

Peace
