This is a little unrelated but hear me out. I know the popular advice is to replace one chick/dude with another after a relationship, but sometimes the best way to heal is to spend a significant amount of time being single and truly taking care of yourself.

Take the time to process what went sideways in the relationship, think about what you really want out of life, and just take care of YOU without worry about someone else.

Yeah it may feel better in the moment to distract yourself with some new ass, but that's like using a bandaid when you need some stitches. Sometimes we need the stitches, brehs. Even if it involves more pain in the moment.

My experience actually happened at Arbor Place.

I was up there with my best friend scoping some new p*ssy out and I see her and the guy she eventually married going up the escalator.

My boy saw it too and knew why I had to take a seat.

That shyt was like a gut punch

We were "on a break" but still communicating and involved heavily. Our anniversary was New Year's Eve and she was with me at first but we split with our friends and did our own thing. I called her at midnight though and she ain't pick up.

I talked to her the next day and she hit me with that ether that she was talking to another dude at midnight (the dude she end up leaving me for and being with for a minute)

Thinking back on it I didn't even get us an anniversary gift, but yeah she humbled me, embarrassed me and then slayed me. Worst break up of my life

Happened twice where I knew she (2 different females) moved on:

1. She told me, "I have moved on." Its something to hear the words because typically they be on some "I'm busy" or "Gotta run an errand" shyt. Playing coy and shyt.

2. She told me she was pregnant. This was a few months after we stopped coitus so I knew it wasn't mine.

Shyt stung but a brighter day came, wounds healed and I moved on.

The day she moved out and I came home to an empty house, and when she'd constantly hit me to kill time till the new guy called her or came over. My soul crumbled knowing that I was just a past time for her but the table was flipped when I met this wonderful lady whom I was goo goo eyes over. My ex found out after I stopped returning her calls and suddenly became busy. She'd come around from time to time only to sit there while I had whole conversations with the women I was seeing I could see the hate and jealousy fill her eyes on some then when she found out I was going on dates and thinking of a relationship she went straight best ether ever
