$12 million for Fitz and you guys chased him in the offseason? Damn shame. He's playing like shyt and like he doesn't even want to be a QB anymore. As much as I hate the Jets I hate overpriced players asking for a certain figure and playing like shyt afterwards. Disgust

Rookie HC and a rookie GM combined with a veteran team on their last paychecks always has this type of potential to bottom out like this.

Bowles is a boring conservative cookie cutter coach but the stuff Maccagnan has done over the last two years is why this team is headed no where. Old, capped out and has bombed on his two QB picks to date. Hell he's bombed on everything.

Bowles is bad. Poor game management, poor preparation, poor motivator. I wouldn't shed a tear if he was fired.

That being said, the 53 man roster outside of the DL has to be bottom 5 in the NFL in terms of talent. Their ST, secondary and QB positions are all awful. LB and OL are mediocre at best. The DL is good, but is wildly overrated. Williams is a stud, Sheldon has talent but he's a total knucklehead. Mo Wilk can be dominant but he's either hurt or just packing it in on a lost season.

I knew this was a rebuild year. But unlike @Trip, I wanted Fitz gone because 2015 was a myth, knowing he would be a time waster. That's where our divide begins. @Trip is one of those Jets fans like many who felt Fitz was a change agent for this team.

If you go back to the first few pages, I thought 6-10 was their ceiling. Fitz was gonna be the QB plus a harder schedule this year with regressions from Fitz/Marshall(the Jets played the easiest schedule in the league in 2015. They won 10 games, easily could have won 12-13).

Bowles is just bad man. The team has no discipline. He's ultra conservative too which I hate. His in-game decisions are at times mindboggling.

The issues of this current team were the spending done by Maccagnan two years ago. Culmination of awful signings and bad drafts.

So is Bowles part of the problem or part of the solution?

He's low on the food chain of our problems.

One, we have an owner who gave Bowles equal power to our GM. So he has no fear of our GM who i believe, along with our OC, wanted to move on from Fitz. Fitz wasn't even on the team yearbook. But our idiot owner who:

1. Signed Favre when the then coach didn't want him
2. Signed Tebow thinking Jets fans would want him
3. Created this hierarchy wher GM and HC are at the same level

It starts with him. He was the one who brought Fitz back in at he 11th hour, afraid to have Geno play in front of this racist ass fan base who he reacts to.

And our coach is inexperienced, but we also have shyty personnel. Look in this thread when I talk about "where is our load of talent" and how aggy some get blaming the coach. We are the SECOND OLDEST TEAM IN THE NFL AND SUCK. How is talent tied to us with this brilliant combination of old + fail? I'm not the biggest fan of Bowles, but I also know he doesn't have shyt to work with, so I'm not th biggest fan of our GM's talent evaluation. My biggest issue with Bowles is that he's one of those idiot old school coaches who over loves veteran players.
